Tourism: our favourite places

Belle-Ile, La Bien Nommée… so true!

For its landscapes, its colours and contrasts, for its preserved authenticity, Belle-Ile is a choice destination for tourism.

Nature

You will be fascinated by the island, with its 82.5kms of coastal tracks, its ornithological reserve, its biodiversity, its gardens to visit…

Sports

You can bike, hike, play golf on one of the most spectacular golf clubs in France (located at the northernmost point of the island, Pointe des Poulains), kayak, surf, sail, dive, fish, play tennis, parachute jump, and now even tree park

Culture

Citadelle Vauban is a must do. You may also visit the Sarah Bernhardt museum as well as the galleries and workshops of local artists and craftsmen: glass blowers, painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewellers, sculptors …
Numerous festivals provide all year round animation to the island.

Tranquillity

If you enjoy piece and quite, there are still here numerous creeks and remote countryside coves allowing you to feel ‘alone in the world’.

Gastronomy

You will enjoy the large offer of creperies and the local and varied cuisine restaurants. You will also find local products from local companies such as the biscuit factory, brewery, local honeys and chocolate craft, market growers …

Sun

If you enjoy the sun, contrary to common belief, Belle-Ile has a proportion of sunlight very close to that found in southern France!
